I don't know why I find it so difficult to find games I like, however the games I do play tend to really suck me in. I obsess over them and have to play them until I get so sick of them that I have to put them down months at a time.
Now I have noted that I do lean towards a certain genre of game that I like more than others, like anybody would. I seem to prefer the Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) genre, but not the kind where it is a top down adventure on a grid based system, where your movements are based off of where you clicked on that grid, no in fact I despise these and do not find them fun, an example of this type of MMORPG is Runescape, though they just recently updated the graphics and the play style, this game is a prime example of that type of MMORPG.
The MMORPG that I prefer is the open world type, where you follow your character in a third person view. Some examples would be Tera, Aion, Echo of Soul, and Star Wars The Old Republic. These games intrigue me because it allows for the player to be submersed into a completely different world, with a 3D graphical interface. They typically create an adventure that leave the player wanting more because they do tell a great story, even though at some points of the game the player is forced into what I call fluffing, the act of creating more play time because the player must go back and forth between the quest areas in order to complete just a single quest.
I have quite a few hours played in this type of MMORPG, so I guess you could say I know what I prefer.
